Until 2017, all CZ 557 had a long action and the same stock size. In the course of 2017, Česká Zbrojovka started to produce two types of stock, differing in the action length according to caliber.
Weapons in .243 Win. and .308 Win. are now with a short action, while in the caliber 6.5x55mm, .270 Win., 7x64 and .30-06 Springfield have a long action.
